Thinking about hiring a private tutor to support your child's GCSE Science?
It's natural to worry about whether you're making the right decision.
If you are not familiar with The Science Tutor, we are a Nottingham based tuition company specialising in GCSE Science that can support your child's learning to attain top marks.
Here are some of the most common concerns the prospective parents raise about hiring a Science private tutor.
Concern 1: 'I can't afford it'
Some parents tell us that they love the idea of providing their child with the services that The Science Tutor provides - but they can't afford it.
Our advice:
If you have not hired a private tutor before, or have had a negative experience of a previous tutor, it is understandable to be nervous about spending money.
The Science Tutor is not just another private tutor!
We are a specialist company that have expertly developed our resources, lessons and specific curriculum with the latest in educational theory and with students in mind that deserve to get the highest marks.
Not only will your child receive this, but they will also have an approachable friendly qualified Science teacher.
Our services should be seen as an investment in your child's future and we have services to suit all pockets!
If you are reading this post, you clearly care about your child's future achievements and know that your child is full of potential. We can help!
Concern 2: 'My child says that they do not need Science for their future studies/career goals'
Some prospective parents tell us that they love the services of The Science Tutor, but are concerned as their child tells them they won't need Science in the future.
Our advice:
Although your child may have a career goal in mind at the moment, this may change as the years go by. Having the best GCSE grades in all subjects will keep all doors open for their future, should their goals change.
In addition, the job market is becoming increasingly competitive, with some employers now looking at ALL GCSEs. This is especially the case for universities that often have hundreds of applications to choose from. So why not give your child every chance?
Concern 3: 'A friend used a private tutor for their child and said it didn't bring as much benefit as they hoped'
Some parents tell us that friends, family and relatives have used a private tutor before and did not feel much benefit from it. They are worried that if they use a Science tutor too, they will feel the same.
Our advice:
Please remember that they are lots of factors that contribute towards whether a private tutor has or has not worked well for somebody else. Just because it did not benefit somebody else, does not mean that it won't benefit your child - especially because The Science Tutor is very different to other tutors!
We provide a unique strategic approach to giving students the highest scientific knowledge and exam skills.
Our revision courses and 1-2-1 tuition is structured to cover the knowledge in clear chunks, apply mathematical, practical skills to exam questions and gain the highest grades!
Concern 4: 'My child doesn't have time'
Some parents tell us that they would love to hire The Science Tutor for their child's GCSE Science but are too busy with school, extra-curricular activities and other schedules that they don't have the time to fit Science in.
Our advice:
The great benefit about The Science Tutor is that not only do we provide downloadable resources in our shop, which can be combined with your child's regular classwork and revision at school, but none of our tuition is ongoing for an endless amount of time.
Our 2020 SUCCESS 2 day revision courses only takes place in the Easter holidays. You can choose from 2 days of Biology, Chemistry or Physics for intensive GCSE support.
Our Build Your Knowledge Programme is an expertly designed programme for 10 lessons (each lesson is 2 hours). These lessons can take place relatively flexibly and we can discuss whether you would like one lesson a week over 10 weeks, or perhaps one lesson a day in the Summer holidays.
